Compassion and Patience for Classic Petra and Management

A few months ago Yvonne Nachtigal trusted in me some very personal information after I inquired about a release date for a Classic Petra product. She said she never wanted to call attention to herself, but was interested instead in helping Petra go forward with the Lord's plans. That's why none of us was aware of what they have been going through.

I think it is time for us to realize that behind the scenes there is people who are not perfect, but still are giving literally all they have to help Classic Petra get out there and succeed spreading the Gospel of Christ throught the world with a passion I wish I had. Yes there have been some mistakes along the way, and some hopes for some sooner success, but I asure you all that the efforts of Michael and Yvonne Nachtigal have been done with extreme love and devotion by some of the most selfless people I have ever met in my life, and I know God's will for Petra will be done, and is the most important thing in their minds for this project.

As I said before, this management team has felt the pressure and the urgency of today's "Me" culture, and immediate demand for information and results. Today as I watched the Video Montage of Classic Petra at Cornerstone Festival posted and edited by Yvonne Nachtigal in the Classic Petra Blog, when I clicked on the clip I was directed to Youtube. There, when the Video was finished it had an option to see other videos posted by Yvonne, so thinking I would find other Petra videos I clicked, but then I was instead moved and shaken by a video that confirmed what Yvonne had said to me before, and I just had to share with you guys.

During the months were the Classic Petra reunion was put together, through the TBN taping, Yvonne Nachtigal was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor for which she had to have Surgery, plus a long period of rehabilitation afterwards. The video I saw showed Yvone doing her first walk in the Hospital after the Surgery with her Nurse and husband Michael by her side. Of course Michael is wearing his Classic Petra Tour Shirt as you can see in the video, showing that all this happened while they were working hard to get us some Petra goodies. This has slowed things a little but has stopped nothing, since Yvonne is the Webmaster and we still get updates from her, and the guys are concentrating first in getting a quality DVD out, then the rest will follow.

I hope we all can take a breather, and understand that there are people going through worst things than most of us will ever go through, and still keep going on fulfilling their commitments first for God's plan, then for our enjoyment.

That's a heavy dose of realty. Thanks for sharing. That's more dedication than I would have. If something of that magnitude would happen to one of my immediate family members, everything else would fall by the wayside. My thoughts and prayers are with them, and myself and others appreciate everything they are doing.

Yes man I wrote it. I held off for a while out of respect to her, but when I saw she posted her hospital video in Youtube, I thought you guys should know, so you could understand why some things got delayed with Classic Petra, but never stopped.

Just to clarify, when you make the statement of spiritual opposition against Classic Petra, are you say this is the cause of a person's brain tumor or that not everyone is a fan of classic Petra. Do you mean Julie or Jenny?

It's Julie. Ivonne told me last night Julie told her that we know about her situation. Ivonne said that she was grateful that we would understand their situation and that we appreciate their humble efforts for Classic Petra in the midst of adversity.

I think p-freak is talking about spiritual opposition for the ruler of this world, not from flesh and blood. That how I see it. When God is going to be glorified, the devil gets mad and tries hard to stop anything that would spread the gospel.

Prayer is greatly needed, but I also see success happening already with what they have been able to accomplish so far.

I'll certainly pray for her recovery--Not fun and she will have a long road ahead of her. We would probably be wise to keep in mind we may not know all the circumstances and that there is a lot more involved in planning tours and so on than those of us who don't have a background in the music industry might realize. I'll plan on enjoying any concerts close enough for me to get to.

I'm guessing they're probably okay with people knowing about this since it was on YouTube where people would find it, but we might be cautious about getting too deeply into their business here too. Just a suggestion, and it applies to me as much as anyone.
