Europena Labels

Post by lucianotaz » Wed Apr 27, 2005 2:59 pm

Hi Sue,

How are you ?

I dont know if there many christian labels in Europe. Maybe Petra could sign with a secular label and this could bring problems. But The way that christians labels make their deals ... I would prefer sigh with a secular labels, cause their goals are very clear.

Frontier Records, an italian secular label of Melodic Rock Music was trying to sign with John Elefante. I do not know if they will sign, I hope yes.

FYI, John and Dino are doing their own record label, and have international distribution I would assume. They always have had anyway.

There are many like Frontiers that would be great.

Ugh. I don't think ANY Christian band should EVER sign with a secular label. Too much conflict of interest (ministry vs. money)

What's the difference between that and a Christian band on a secularly owned Christian label. It's all about money for all of them. It is a rigged system.

I would rather deal with secular people anytime. They still have a hesitance for selling Jesus to make a buck and/or getting on God's bad side. They are straight forward about putting it to you and opposed to a wink, a "God bless ya' brother" and a knife in jugular.

I knew a non-believer's misconception of God could come in handy.

I know I would rather deal with a secular label also. At least you know what to expect from them. If I was an artist I would be very cautious about signing with a Christian Label.

It is pretty sad that a Christian artist would be better of with a secular label, but it is true. At least they don't try to pretend to be something they're not or claim that what they do is in the name of Christianity.

Hey

Here in Brzil is the same....

We know that all have the market...
Bur Christian labels would consider they must be ministers too...

But we have to pray.
It is only this. If tehy retire... God will use them in somewhere.

The dofference: PETRA IS A REAL MINISTRY.
Every day I am getting more honored to support Petra's ministry.

They do not compromise.

You didn't say anything rude, Artur.

I'm sure the Lord will continue to use them in whatever way He sees fit.

As John always said, "God is not a God of waste."

It would be a waste to put him and the rest of Petra out to pasture when they have plenty of talent left to be used for God's glory.

The Lord will come up with something; I have no doubt about it.

Yes, let's keep them in prayer. Being in ministry and out there in the frontlines, the attacks from the enemy come and they come strong.
Any prayer cover is always appreciated and much needed.

IF Petra were to say, "throw in the towell" then hopefully the last record would be a live record. I would also hope that they would record it not as a three piece + vocals, but with some keys and another guitar player. If they recorded over seas, they could probably fill a large venue as well.

Seasons change. It may not be a matter of waste, but a matter of completion. Either way, I want a live record with a huge sound.

This is OT, but I must say that Greg's bass tone is the best growling that I have heard from the Petra stage.

I've been talking for months about this lineup being the best in Petra's history. When you see this lineup live you will agree with me. They act like they have been playing together for years. I pray this is not the end.
