I don't see changing one band member (slick to lawry) as a revolving door. I think "revolving door" is more on a regular basis, as WUC to ND, ND to PP2, and so on, and sometimes it was more than one change between albums...just to clarify what I think was being referenced earlier.

Plus, those later changes were of a different nature. Sometimes people were being fired, so it wasn't always a friendly departure. It was obvious that there was disunity and strife within the band. To the best of my knowledge Slick's departure was on good terms.

Not counting that a lot of Record Labels would like to see the line up they sign to stay together for at least five years. Every time I've talked to a label that's all they've ever said "Five Year Commitment from All Your Members".

I know it was getting pretty bad there in the 90s to start seeing a new line up every time I got a new CD.
