I don't have any details other than his website is reporting that he passed away peacefully in his sleep yesterday.
He was a founding member of the rock group, America.

They put out some great music... and he had a wonderful testimony as a Christian as well.

I liked them too when I was in the mood for mellow. I had one of their albums back in the days of records.

Some great songs came from America. Of the hits I like them all but Horse w/ No Name. RIP Dan Peek.

When I was doing radio, Dan had songs on the rotation, one of them was a remake of Lonely People.....This is sad news for us, but good news for the band in Heaven.
