I'm betting on a 40th anniversary type set up for 2012.

The last thing I'd want to see is another best of album, no matter how they package it. Either rework the old songs as was planned or an all new album right away is the only way to go. Anything else, I believe would be a huge let down at this point.

Every living member, past and present, on the same stage, for three songs in their various incarnations, captured on DVD, with no ProTool'ing.

Don't know where you heard that. The old management is still the interim management and I can't imagine that would be the case if it was messy and the financial thing was explained as being that the new record company would have money to invest in Classic Petra. The idea that C.P. might not continue in it's current form is not something I've heard at all.

Cool thanks for clearing that up, I didn't want to believe that either! I emailed someone to ask if this was the case but they never got back to me.

p.s Don't trust random people that repetitively ask for your photo for no apparent reason.

My last post was a joke. "It will never happen". Every time someone in Petra tells me "it will never happen" when I hit them with an idea, it happens. So....

I have no idea. I have not been talking to anyone in a long time, and if they did tell me stuff, I would have to sit on it, like I did the news about CP.

All I know is that plans can change when money is or is not involved. Them boys gotta' eat and pay bills. If they aren't doin' that, they will not be makin' any music.

I think the CP is solid, but I know for a fact that promoters are bringing up the 40th anniversary tour thing all the time with CP, but management didn't really look at it with high importance; they were only trying to push CP, which actually what they were being paid to do.

brent's usage of the phrase "every living member" begs the question: are there any former members of Petra who have died?

Good question....I know there are some who are not really into the life, or at least the CCM scene any longer.

I think everybody is still alive & kickin' ....... but you know, as times goes on and everyone ages - the inevitable WILL happen. That's something I don't care to think about just yet. :|
