I was in Myrtle Beach, SC from Sunday-Monday for the Classic Petra concert.
My cousin and I love Salvation Army stores, so we went into the one on Ocean Drive.
I naturally was drawn to the stacks of vinyl records, because I'm a vintage fanatic;
guess what I found there...
Can you believe that they were 99 cents apiece?! Me either!
I was so excited.

Salvation Army stores and thrift shops are something, aren't they?! I found my CD copy of John Lawry's solo album, Media Alert, in one. I always keep my eyes open, I never know when I'm going to find the last thing I need for my collection!

They had some other great stuff, like Leon Patillo, David Meece, and Degarmo & Key.
I also picked up the album 'Hostage' by Rez Band ^_^

Cool find!
I always shop at Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. Most of the T-shirts I wear came from them...I also buy both my daughters' clothes there too. Best times to go look are early summer, early fall, and after Christmas. I found a brand new pair of Apple Bottom jeans for $2.00 (still had the store tags on it) right after Christmas at Goodwill for my 9-year-old daughter. I also found a near-new Disney Tinkerbell sweatshirt for $3.00 at Salvation Army for my 16-year-old daughter.
My best find was just this past spring. I was looking through the CDs and found John Schlitt's
Shake. I let out a "YES!" that was so loud I startled the checkout clerk!

We always find a lot of goodies at these stores, and I seem to find better items at the local owned shops. Over the past few years I've found some Stryper, Petra, and Bloodgood tshirts.

Probably 75% or more of my vinyl collection has come from thrift stores (Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc.)
There are certain bands that I would love to collect the complete vinyl works of (Petra is one, Stryper is another).
