Please understand that I am not complaining at all. I'm concerned for them and how satisfied they are with how things are working out. I would love to go to a tiny show somewhere and get to meet all of these guys. Last time I saw anything remotely close to this line up was in 1984 in a packed out high school gym in Illinois.

I really do hope they continue and will be grateful for all they've done as well as anything new. If they do decide it's time to quit I'll just believe it was time and move on. Until then I hope they are happy doing what they're doing.

Great photos Trodlan. How many were at the show in Norway?

Yes, the whole show will be uploaded to YouTube soon.
I will also make a downloadable file of a single audiotrack in lossless format, recorded with my Zoom H1.

Where can we get the audio Terje? Flekkeroy Petra Petra Shows are the best bar none. You always get the best sound and video and this one is no exception. Specially I like how Greg sings with 100% of his voice on this one, and Bob using on TBTF his J&H Guitar borrowed from the guy who bought it from him! NEAT!!! Cant wait for video and downloadable audio!!

Youtube is the biggest piracy ring on the Internet.

+1 to your post.

I think its too premature to call the physical CD history. Retail stores are shrinking their floor space, but online sales are still strong; plus when someone wants the full length album they still purchase the full CD over over the digital download. Yes the singles(MP3) out sale CD's but the market is still strong for the actual full length CD. BTW I for one do not buy any music from the retail stores; I buy from the artist directly first and then online after that, and some at a used store called Half Price Books.

Cds are over VERY soon. Several of the largest labels will no longer press CDs in 2013. Artists no longer make anything from them.

Time magazine reported in January that 2011's digital music sales eclipsed physical sales for the first time ever. As of December 2010, The Wall Street Journal reported iTunes' had 66% of that digital market. It's pretty safe to say that many of your listeners are hearing your music downloaded from iTunes.

AAC is now the format doing the best and the industry is behind it. It is cheaper for the industry NOT to press CDs and deal with the accounting, shipping, receiving, returns, etc. Mastering houses now offer AAC mastering services. CD plants are being liquidated as we speak. Now that download speeds are up and disc space is dirt cheap...CDs will continue to fade out.

CDs will sell like vinyl and audiophile 1/4" and 1/2" analog tape...a little here and a little there. The CD has been around in some form or fashion since the late 60s. It has had a good run. Now it is time to move on...to something better.

Video should be availabel now! Took a little longer than expected due to uploading problems. Google Chrome fixed the issue.
http://youtu.be/K2ARXZCfJVI
The video will be in Full HD when finished rendering.

I will now start the upload of the audio file (wav) to my ftp right now.
Should be available within an hour...for those who are interrested.
Zipped for easier download. (727mb)

Great photos Trodlan. How many were at the show in Norway?
I would guess 5-600 people. (25% of the seats were filled.)

The night before, with Colman, there was 2000, and the night before that, with Leeland, there was around 1800 at the festival.

Looks like Classic Petra have cancelled their next show in Norway, and brought Farewell lineup back together again to the show July 14.

Weird; According to Classicpetra.com because of last minute personal & scheduling obstacles Classic Petra will not be able to perform, and that Petra(Hartman, Schlitt, Bailey, & Borneo) will be performing these 3 dates instead.

I doubt anyone sees it that way. Speculation, but I think Bob was still willing to go through with the concert, this wasn't an issue/conflict on his end, and thought of this as a way around not being able to go as CP ... instead Farewell Petra goes.
