Revenge of the Sith!!!!!!!!! George Strikes Back!
Hey everybody,
I saw Ep. III Last night/this morning. That was awesome. It was non-stop from start to finish!!! I walked out saying, "That was a Starwars movie!!!
THe acting was great! HAyden proved that he can act in this one. Ewan, and Ian McDirmid stole this show! Great acting, great story, great action, and it all made sense to the common person!
I have been a huge Starwars fan since I first went to see the original. I remember it even though I was only 2. The first two prequels have been good. II better than I, but I've liked them even with what I saw were flaws. This movie has more than made up for anything I thought was a flaw and even made the other ones more relevent in the fact that the story had to be told. If you are on the fence about this one,
GO SEE IT!

I want to go check it out. ABC says that it is a bad movie. The reveiwer said that people in the theater laughed during the "love scene", and that the acting was bad.
I think that if you go to a SW movie for the acting alone, then you're going to be disappointed. I like the computer generated stuff myself.
It was a bummer for me to see DV as a little kid in a previous movie, with good intentions (especially towards his mother), manners, full of life, etc. I actually liked the kid, and now he grows up to be evil. Drag. It's kind of like some kids I am related to.

I saw it yesterday and it was incredible. Very intense and I'm starting to think it may be the best of the 6. theonly reason ep4 would be better is because that one can stand as a movie on it's own but clearly as a set 3 is the best. I really felt bad for Anakin. It changes my whole outlook on Vader in the later trilogy. It's like he knew the truth but was seduced and backslid but in the end he was saved.

Down the corridor or life in between our death and birth
We may start to lose our way in the search to find our worth
Our value comes in the fact we live
Life is a gift only God can give

This is the second best Star Wars movie after The Empire Strikes Back if for nothing else than this is the most emotional movie of them all. There were still a couple of rough spots as far as acting and the script were concerned, but this is a vastly improved movie over Episodes I and II.

I've seen it twice now.
I have to agree. 2nd it is. Empire will always be my favorite. But I have to say that this is the only Star Wars movie I have ever cried watching. When Anakin goes to the Temple and those of you who have seen it knows what he does. I actually had tears. I guess because of my young son.
It's good to see that even in Anakin's deceived mind, he was trying to do the right thing. I love the way he tells Padme they can rule the Galaxy. Great stuff that brought the original trilogy flooding into memory!!!!
You truely see the path of salvation now in the whole series.

Wow - I don't really know what to say.
It was a great film, as far as I'm concerned. I have to keep reminding myself that this isn't the end of the story, but the middle. It does feel a lot like Empire. I really love the way Lucas tied up so many things - even the little things.
A great film, but I didn't leave all giddy like I have in other films...just kind of stunned.
I do agree with Lucas that "little ones" probably shouldn't see this film.

We've been to see it THREE times! We went Friday morning to preview it before we took Mikey (five years old, incidentally); decided there wasn't anything he couldn't handle with proper mental preparation, so we picked him up and talked over a few of the more intense parts so he would know what would happen; and we took him Friday afternoon. Unfortunately he had had a big day, so he wiggled and made noise through half of the film, then finally calmed down. So I'm like, whew, he finally settled down to watch the movie. And Cat's like, he's ASLEEP!
So to let Mikey see the whole thing, we went back to a $2 matinee on Saturday. Cat and I both cried the first time we saw it, and I think we both cried the third time too (fighting with a 5-year-old'll take the emotional impact out of it for ya!)
Funny thing about little kids... I think this movie (with the possible exception of the scene where Anakin nearly dies, which is pretty graphic) is tougher on grown-ups than on kids. Most of the psychological stuff goes right over kids' heads, and that's where the intensity is. They just see kewl buzz-droids and light saber battles. 'Course, if the kid is scared of fire, or has a pregnant mommy, or something like that, it's going to get 'em, but almost any movie could do that.
We asked Mikey what his favorite part was. Was it the light saber battles, or the space ships, or the wookiees, or R2D2...? His answer:
"The babies!"

Yeah, I agree that the one part that is hard to stomach is the "Anakin scene".
I also agree that most of it is probably harder for the adults. It really puts the struggle of the Rebellion in 4-6 in perspective. It's like the whole world falls apart.
I would love to see a middle movie that shows us how the rebellion is put together to the point that we find it in Episode 4.

bridging story
george lucas announced a few weeks ago that he will create a special TV series that shows what happened between ep 3 and ep 4 - the cucial events that tie up any other loose ends left unaddressed by ep 3. not that ep3 didnt tie things up (it did, beautifully) but the TV series will demonstrate events and happenings in more detail (i take it this means the rise of the rebellion etc).
revenge of the sith is awesome. the best of all six star wars movies. the circle is complete.

Kan yu say, J-j-j-jedi M-m-m-master?
I didn't seem to like the 3 newer Star Wars movies as much as the 3 older ones, but this one did pretty well for me. The emotion Anakin expresses at the end, especially in the token lightsaber fight scene, is incredible. After seeing the movie, I had a craving to watch 4 - 6 again. (Unfortunately, I have copies that someone taped off of the TV, so they have commercial breaks and cut scenes.)
Probably Return of the Jedi is my favorite of all the Star Warses, though. The classic episodes rock my head off!! Fff!!

Darth Leppard
On the Def Leppard song You Got Me Runnin' (from High 'n' Dry), I noticed shooting sound effects that remind me of Star Wars. This happens at about 3:19 into the song (right before the last chorus).
Interesting. . .

For the record... after last weekend, Sith is the #10 top-grossing movie of all time. Check it out:
http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/boxoffice/alltime/
I think it's likely to pass up The Passion next weekend, but it might stick at #9. If it lasts in the theaters for a month or so more, it might even make it as high as #7, but I doubt it'll get higher at this point unless they count things like DVD sales in the figures. This makes three Star Wars movies in the top 10, adding Sith to Star Wars: A New Hope (#2) and The Phantom Menace (#5).
