Bands and their scripture references

Post by Diehardpetrafan:) » Mon Nov 04, 2019 11:13 am

Hey! I got an idea when I was looking through my Bible at all the bands names I had written next to a verses. Not all bands will have references but most will I'm sure!
Let the list begin!
WhiteHeart-Psalm 51:10
Shout-Psalm 33:1, 2
Resurrection Band-Matthew 28:5-6
Stryper-Isaiah 53:5
DC Talk-Ephesians 4:29
Fear Not-Isaiah 35:4a, 41:10, 13
Note: Here is an easy place to find a verse for pretty much whatever you want https://www.openbible.info/topics/
If you think a verse goes with a band, post a reply, and DON'T write the verse's text out, just it's reference- it'll help me & perhaps others to actually look in their Bibles more :P Thanks ❤️

Psalm 126:6
He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing
shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

It took me a long time to figure out that the band name "Third Day" was a reference to Jesus rising from the dead on the third day. I used to think it was a reference to the third day of creation, and I wondered why they thought the creation of land and plants was so significant!

Why, yes, sometimes I do have trouble seeing the obvious.

I am still looking for the verse for the Kiss lyric from On the 8th Day, "On the eighth day, God created rock and roll..."

I'm sure you will find it in the same place God creates the unicorns

I was unaware of that verse until now. Some say the Bible was referring to a single horned rhinoceros

Because everything in the Bible is meant to be taken strictly literally, especially the poetic and metaphorical language used in the book of Psalms, am I right? :P
