We need prayer.

With one of our Supreme Court Justices stepping down, and maybe another, America is at a crossroad. I'm pulling for President Bush to appoint someone with some actual values and a conservative core, who won't obstruct Christianity or its values. When Hillary becomes president in 2009, its going to be a bigger nightmare. Christians in the US may actually face some real persecution.

But I don't know if I trust him to do that. He claims to be a believer, but I think we're still the same country we would be if Gore was elected, (Bush just slowed the descent into complete socialism).

Even if he does stick with his alleged values, Senate partisanship will bring the process to a standstill. I trust God to bring us through this, but some prayer would be appreciated, because our country is desparate for revival.

Pray too for my country of Canada which passed a same-sex marriage legislation. How and why Canada thinks they can define the english language for the rest of the world if beyond me. The government has even called this move "a redefinition of 'marriage.'"
