Do any of you know any websites where I can order CD's and pay for them by check? All the websites I've tried require payment by credit card, and I don't own a credit card.

Web sites where you can order stuff and send a check are few and far between. Some of them do electronic checking, but you'd have to give them your bank information and that's pretty risky. Credit card is safest.

Yeah I am in the same boat. I try to avoid credit, and don't have a card either.

If you have a bank account you can open up an account with paypal. They keep your bank information private so you do not have to give it out. It does take some time for the money to 'clear' through your paypal account, but that just means you have to wait an extra week or so. This is what I've had for the last year or two, and while it is still hard finding places that take paypal, they do exist!

CD Universe
takes Paypal, and so does
Christian Discs.

I work at RadioShack. You can go there and buy prepaid credit cards. This is actually a safer way to buy then a regular card.

You could always just get a Debit/Credit card. They are free from your bank and they work just like a credit card but it deducts from your checking account. You just have to make sure you keep all the receipts you have to balance your account.
