"Yoda" by Weird Al Yankovic
from the album Dare to Be Stupid
I met him in a swamp down in Dagobah
Where it bubbles all the time
Like a giant carbonated soda
S-O-D-A, soda
I saw the little runt sitting there on a log
I asked him his name
And in a raspy voice he said Yoda
Y-O-D-A, Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Well, I've been around but I ain't never seen
A guy who looks like a muppet
But he's wrinkled and green
Oh my Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Well, I'm not dumb but I can't understand
How he can lift me in the air just by raising his hand
Oh my Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Now, I left home just a week before
And I never ever been a Jedi before
But Obi-Wan he set me straight of course
He said, "Go to Yoda and he'll show you the Force"
Now, I'm not the kind that'll argue with Ben
So it looks I'm gonna start all over again
With my Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
So I used the force
I picked up a box
I lifted some rocks
And I stood on my head
But I won't forget what Yoda said, he said
"Luke, stay away from the darker side
And if you start to go astray let the Force be your guide"
Oh my Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
I know Darth Vader's really got you annoyed
But, remember if you kill him then you'll be unemployed
Oh my Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Well, I heard my friends really got in a mess
So I'm gonna have to leave Yoda, I guess
But I know that I'll be coming back some day
I'll be playing this part till I'm old and grey
The long-term contract I had to sign
Says I'll be making these movies till the end of time
With my Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda
Yo-Yo-Yo-Yo Yoda

I am a huge Star Wars fan, and I might be the only one here to say this, but I thought the movie was corny. The acting was still bad and there were no surprises. I was very disappointed. Now on the other hand IMO I think Batman Begins is the best movie of the year so far.

Que la fuerza te acompae
Revenge of the Zith isn't on my favorites list either, but the last half was better than the first half. The end was great. The appearance of Darth Vader and the young Skywalkers revived an interest in me to watch the three old episodes again, to see what happened next. (since I forgot after years of not watching them)
I've seen plenty of movies that start out iffy and then get better toward the end. Meet the Fockers, for example. Bad and ronchy at the beginning, but as the plot thickens and emotions rise between the two families, it gets more interesting.

I actually felt exactly the opposite about Meet The Fockers. I thought the first 20 minutes was the cleanest and funniest part of the movie, and went severely downhill from there.seichu kaisho wrote:Revenge of the Zith isn't on my favorites list either, but the last half was better than the first half. Actually, you're right - what I meant by "beginning" was the part when they meet Greg's parents and stay at their house. I guess I forgot that it was about 20 minutes into the movie before they met Greg's parentsseichu kaisho wrote:Bad and ronchy at the beginning

I agree with you that when Greg's parents first come on the scene, the movie gets worse because of their sick humor. But later on the movie gets better again (though not much better) - I liked when Jack finally lost his pride and realized he was too overbearing with the circle of trust / truth serum / DNA tests and everything. And when Greg's mom tries to give him a massage.

"For - ev - ver. . ."
I watched The Sandlot a couple days ago, and the guy who does the voice of Vader (James Earl Jones) was on there. I heard a distinct similarity in the voices.
