Live Webcast?
Someone posted about there being a webcast of the recording. Where did you see this info? I've not seen anything on it yet. It would be awesome though. Thanks.

I just got word from Wayne Seboa that Louie *has* been invited. We'll have to wait and see if he accepts the invitation.

New Radio Release
They need one, maybe two really strong radio releases to go along with this album so they get some radio support for the CD. I'd like to see one new P&W and one new rocker. Maybe radio would support it since they know it's the last one.

Re: New Radio Release
My money is on NO radio stations playing anything, other than ads for shows, etc. Petra's live show most certainly will not match the formats of most stations. Besides, if the stations won't play the studio records, they won't play this either. This is my opinion. I hope that it is wrong, but I doubt that it is.BForm wrote:They need one, maybe two really strong radio releases to go along with this album so they get some radio support for the CD. Radio = crap IMO. It's days of influence are dwindling. One day it will be worthless. One day people will pay US to listen.

I feel like that is sooo true! Think about the big days of radio -- during records. Not everybody had them and you certainly couldn't take a record with you. Radio was valuable to listenr and musician.Radio = crap IMO. It's days of influence are dwindling. One day it will be worthless. One day people will pay US to listen.
Then fast forward to 8 tracks and tapes more poratable, but kids on the east coast would hear a "new" band on the west coast w/o radio. Radio still valuable to listener and musician.
Enter the 21st century. mp3 players on your cell phone...websites....web-radio. No need for radio for the artist...and the listener has many other methods (more in fact) to hear new artists and take their favorites with them. IN fact...now instead of taking 20+ cds with you, you carry one "lip-stick" sized unit w/ you that has 200+ songs.
Radio....thy days are numbered......
Sorry...

BTW - I didn't say there would be a webcast, I said the venue is set up for it.

I don't see any new material being played here. I think this is going to be a time to think back and enjoy what our ears have been hearing all these years. FORGET RADIO IT SUCKS!

Question for Crossways...
Hello Crossways,
What is the official site for the venue where the concert will be held? I want to be sure I'm going to right place and not halfway across town .
Thanks

Kirkman actually posted this web addy earier in the thread.
It's called Club W and it is very cool. A friend of mine in Gretchen said that the club is part of a huge complex where there is a lot of famous musical entities.

Just speculating...
OK...
so what are the odds that Petra will perform any new material they had originally planned for their next album (before they had mentioned retirement)?
Will those songs (if there are any) see the light of day at this concert?
This isn't a poll, but tell me what YOU think.
