A Prayer for the Tour

Post by calicowriter » Fri Sep 23, 2005 8:36 am

I know there are some folks out there better at this than I (((Sam))), but I thought this was important for us to do.

We come before You today Father God, thankful for so many things, including the access we have to You because of the death and resurection of Your Son, Jesus. You are worthy of all thanks and praise, and deserving of so much more than we give.

Today we would like to lift up the members of Petra, and all who are participating in this farewell tour with them. We ask for your protection over them for safety in their travels, and for good health throughout all of the upcoming days. We thank you for the talents and gifts You have given them; we pray that their hands will play skillfully, and their voices remain strong and harmonious as they are lifted to You each night in song. If there are any transgressions or distractions among them, Lord, we ask that they be forgiven so that they may go onstage as clean vessels, ready and able to be used by You in ways more wonderful than we can even imagine.

It is our desire that the audiences will be inspired, refreshed and drawn irresistibly to You, and that everyone will be blessed by the power of Your presence.

As in all things, we ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, who came, saw, and conquered death and hell for all believers, and who reigns with You forever. Amen.

Down the corridor or life in between our death and birth
We may start to lose our way in the search to find our worth
Our value comes in the fact we live
Life is a gift only God can give
