That is WAY too big for an avatar!
You'll have to shrink that down quite a bit to make it usable... it still looks pretty nice at 80x100 pixels, though!

I looked at the pictures on your web site Sharon, I like them a lot, especially the one of the lighthouse. I admire people who can draw, I have no talent in that area.
Tell us a little bit about yourself, how long have you been a Petra fan?

Your second try almost worked... notice that I fixed it for you (I'm a moderator, so I can do that!) The trick is to take out the garbage after ".jpg" when you put the link between the [img][/img] tags. The PhpBB software can't recognize it as a graphic, apparently, unless it actually ends in a .jpg or .gif or whatever. Be nice if it just went ahead and assumed people know what they are doing, but it doesn't.

thank You Michael, I was not aware i needed to remove the stuff after the . jpg or .gif didn't even relize the link would still work.
and mOre about me.
I am from NC, still attend the First Baptist church I grew up in. I teach the 4 and 5 year old sunday school class. Have allways loved to draw ( even a a BS degree, only never used it , as I am not good at marketing lol) I have allways been a fan of any christian music, and found this site from a site that had midi files on it. ( ok my favorite christian song is Freinds , not by petra but by michael smith) but love all music, and this seems like a great site to fellowship at least by message boards with other christians.
I am 39 going on 40 in jan, and am still single. I have not yet met that one person that I cannot live without. although I still have the hope of.
for my job I am what is called a senior cs agent ( ie cancelation dept) for a large internet company.
which has been making me work overtime.
I was diagnosed with stage 2 ( latter in life) diabetes, and am still strugling to get my blood sugar under control.
I do not like to poke myself lol

Hi Sharon, thanks for introducing yourself.
Diabetes is no fun, I've had several people in my family with it, but it can be controlled. Hang in there.
My real name is Michelle and I live in sunny California, and I'm in my 40s (just turned 44) and not married either, we have that in common. I'm not in a big rush to get married though. I'm actually better off at this point without men complicating my life, LOL. (That's a joke, it's a matter of meeting the right person and I will one day, I'm trusting God for that). I've always loved music too, and I like all sorts of Christian music but especially Petra. I've been to a lot of concerts over the years. I'm a student at Cal State Dominguez Hills (three more semesters to go) and I work at home doing medical transcription.
Have fun here.

Cute drawings! I love arty stuff too, mostly fiber art and random mail art. If you ever want to trade some ATC's or something, I'd love to set up a trade!

Heheh, I knew I should have explained ATC's. ATC is short for Artist Trading Card. They were created for the sole purpose of sharing your art with other artists. The small format can be a challenge when you start (they are always 2.5" by 3.5"-the size of a trading card) but they are so much fun to send and receive. Normally they are traded face to face, but a lot of trading is done by mail too.
Here is a mail art friend's very comprehensive page about ATC's (the rest of her site is super fantastic too! She is amazing.)
Here are some of
my ATC's.

You can use whatever you like as a base-though it would be good if it were relatively sturdy. Some people cut cardstock, fabric, cereal boxes, whatever; others use old trading or playing cards and just glue their art right over. Anything's possible!
