Dixon, Il concert

Post by ddaysart » Tue Sep 27, 2005 1:40 pm

Anoyone going to the show in Dixon, IL on Sunday night?

I'm hoping they pack the Dixon Theatre. I've been a Petra fan for a long time and this will be my show since I saw them back in 1985 with Greg Voltz.

I'll be there with my wife and oldest son who cannot wait! I actually believe when I was in a christian rock band call Rizing Faith that I sang in that same theatre, we'll see!

Dixon show

Went to the show, it wasn't sold out but it had a decent turnout. I wish they wouldn't have had four acts before Petra, it got old. The show was great, sound was great except for a squeel that was in the sound for the whole time we were there! And the sound went completely out on Jekyll & Hyde and the band didn't know it until it was half way over, started over again, mains were back and Petra was back. I was completely satisfied with the show, there were no lights but I really didn't care. I went to see Bob Hartman in all his glory for one last time and I saw him! It was very encouraging for my soul, I really needed that time at a real Petra concert. I would not have picked at least four of the set list but I really didn't mind because of all the combined songs. It is finished I didn't think I'd hear that ever again! I didn't get a T-shirt, they were completely out of L and XL!!! can you believe that! At the beginning of a tour? My son got a medium with the vintage Petra logo and said as we left, "it's too bad those old guys are quiting, my friends would have loved them!" He has always liked Petra but J&H was his fave. I lay up in bed all night, really really depressed, there are none of my favorite bands left, I never thought there would be no Petra. I'm still trying to get over it. They made an impact in my life and my favorite song finally hit home, Test of time, have I used my time wisely? No, I haven't, and I haven't past the test of time. Beak
