More footage for the DVD

Post by Michael » Thu Oct 13, 2005 1:23 pm

Hey... I was looking back over the old stuff in my own "News" section, and I found something I had forgotten about. Wasn't the acoustic set on Today's Christian Music videotaped for possible DVD release? I wonder if that's a candidate for the Petra Farewell DVD? That tape still hasn't seen the light of day!

Today's Christian Music

Post by Michael » Thu Oct 13, 2005 4:21 pm

Acoustic set. Live, on the radio. Actually sounded pretty good, although not what might be considered "perfect." Now that I think about it, it seems like there was some situation in which the video portion of the performance is in the possession of someone who was unwilling to share it for some reason.

I think there are MP3 clips on JohnWSchlitt.com

That was the event that Jer (person who used to host johnschlitt.com & petrafanclub.com) video-taped - or was GOING TO video. When the big blow-up occurred with the websites, everything fell apart.

I'm not sure if he ever did video it, or was planning on it. I can't remember.

But we DO have the audtio from it on jws.com - go to the AUDIO page and find:

April 2, 2002 - Petra sits down with "Today's Christian Music" to offer an "Unplugged" concert/broadcast.

(if someone can tell me how to copy a link when the site has frames while working on an old Mac - I'd REALLY appreciate it!) Never thought I'd say this, but I'm sure glad I own a PC at home!

Right click on the link you want then choose open in new window. The frame won't be there then just copy the link in the address bar. Like this. http://www.johnschlitt.net/soundclips/i ... cm2002.zip

That's not a Mac thing, that's a browser thing. You'd copy a link by ctrl-clicking the link and selecting "copy link" (or something similar)

WR, there's no right clicking - the mouse is one big clicker.

Josh, there is nothing even remotely similar to "copy link" either when I control-click.

Macs stink.

MACS Rule!!!

Post by judboy » Mon Oct 17, 2005 11:59 am

MAC OSX Rocks!! Don't go by what you hear, experience the difference!
Yeah, it is a change of Operating systems and there is a learning curve. But the thing I like about the MAC is it is very user friendly and allows you to get work done much quicker and without a headache!

If you go MAC, you will never go back (to a PC that is...)

Note: I use Windows XP Professional all day at work everyday.
I use MAC OSX Tiger 10.4.2 when I get home and for my side business.
I experience the best of both worlds and I know what just works!!!
MAC OSX hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Macs are no more expensive. In fact, some are cheaper, smaller, etc.

Unix is a mucho more stable platform to write an OS with/for than Windsux.

Macs are very easy to manage and operate. The deal with the mouse can be solved with a real mouse. It opens up options that are hidden otherwise. File management, system maintenance, etc is more simplistic and less user definable than a Windows machine.

If one has been on a Windows machine from the start, it is harder to get a Mac. If one starts on a Mac, then it is much easier to shift to Windows, but you will scratch your head sometimes.

Huh? as in a right/left click mouse?

I'd say.... I've been on this thing for a year, and I still hate it.
