Sorry to dig up an old thread, but another Petra-related girl's name just popped into my head. This one's along the same lines as Seymore and Jacqueline Hyde:

You know what I just realized that I did not post what our baby is gonna be! Well It is a girl! We have decided to name her Hannah Noel,only about 3 months to go now! Yippie!

Before I had my daughter Anna Louise 6 years ago, I thought about calling her Petra. But, my husband said he would shoot me. He likes Petra but he didn't want his daughter named after them. I said if she would have been a boy he would be named John after John Schlitt and Lawry. Hehehehe ... But anyway I got two boys and one girl. One named after King David in the bible. And one name after my husband Charles. So, I didn't name none of my after Petra. Should have though.

I would say go for it, your kid.

If you want to give the name "Petra" to your child, I think it would make a good middle name. (Maria Petra, Jackie Petra, Hannah Petra, Kristi Petra, Wung-Chin Petra. . .)

for me is tremendously funny because when I started to trabslate petra lyrics when i was learning english i used to hear different words in my head and by the time i see the lyrics i laughed and seymour and audrey just reminded me that LOLOL.
