Tonight's Petra concert at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg, Oregon will have very low attendance unless ticket sales at the door sky rocket. The building where the concert will take place tonight can hold 2,200 people yet the number of ticket's sold at the "Living Hope Bookstore" in Roseburg is only **177** tickets. Living Hope Bookstore is the main location for concert tickets and is the ONLY location that is advertised for ticket orders. Only one other location other then itickets.com is selling tickets for tonight's concert and I have no clue who they are.
Petra's 1998 concert in Roseburg - 2,000 in attendance
Petra's 2001 concert in Roseburg - 1,200 in attendance
Tonight's 2005 concert in Roseburg - I am going to say between 400 and 700.
On a good note I am 1 of the 177 people who bought a ticket for tonight's concert. This will be Petra concert #4 for me.
VERY VERY LOW ticket sales for tonight's Oregon concert
The concert was beyond words. I have read many of the reviews on this board and I was still amazingly surprised by last nights concert.
The promoter went beyond the limit on stage lighting. Stage lights were on every side of the stage as well as above the stage forward and back.
I must agree with some people that I didn't miss Louie Weaver at all. I have seen hundreds of drummers perform in the last 10 years and Paul is by far the second greatest drummer I have ever seen....so far.
The attendance was LOW. I would say around 400 for a building that can hold 2,200! BUT the audience was VERY energetic and after a few minutes I honestly forgot about the small group.
John forgot a single line on No Doubt and repeated a couple lines of the first verse of Creed. This was Petra's 11th concert in a row and John's voice was not the best (and he admitted it) but it was still perfect!
