So what is to become of the guys, when Petra steps out of the spotlight for the final time together? I know there are rumors of John continuing a solo career. Will the youngsters (Greg and Paul) spin off into another band? Will Bob pursue a professional tennis career? I heard he likes tennis... alot...
Wherever God takes them, I'm sure they will continue to touch the lives of those who need to know the love and life Jesus Christ has to offer them....
Oh yeah... Greg and Paul, if you actually read these threads, I could really use a really good drummer and bassist to jam with...

He. Greg and Paul probably won't have any trouble finding other bands to work with. John has a lot of potential going solo I think. Maybe Bob could give guitar lessons.

You never know.
I'm pretty sure Bob lurks occasionally, he's made a few posts. John isn't into computers. I don't know about Paul and Greg. They'd probably be wise to stay away from the Internet when you stop to think about it.

They've been on the road a lot lately, so they probably wouldn't have time for the Internet even if they do like computers.

Life after Petra.....hmmmm...
Is there such a thing.....?
I cannot even THINK TWICE, about ENTERing IN to this place in my life, I guess getting ALL FIRED UP about it won't help...and I'll just STAND and know that somewhere down the road, that LOVE will carry me through.
To Petra I will forever be grateful and I know now, that because of them through Christ alot of people are fulfilling their DESTINY.

I know there are rumors of John continuing a solo career.
RUMORS? oh, not rumors - FACT.
He already has the 3rd album in the can - it needs more work to complete it, but it will be finished this next year. He's also considering another project, also to be released in 2006.
John has a lot of potential going solo
Oh, there is tons of untapped potential there. Not only concerts, but if you've ever been to a solo show or a church where he's involved in the service, you'd have seen that John is an excellent speaker. That is one direction I'm hoping to get the chance to help hiim pursue.... and we'll start out with the youth conference on Dec. 29 & Jan. 1!
Hmmm... Jan. 1, the first show of John's "new" solo venture without Petra on the side. Wonder if that date has any significance?

After Petra last note, in the end of this 2006?
Well, I've thinking this same thing this morning driving to the job. And I find the answer: Be around The Zone, waiting for the REUNION TOUR in five years!
Ja!
I don't know, but for me, Petra is going to be close. Always. Here in Mxico, the news and facts about the band sometimes are hard to find. During the "slow years" (No doubt - Revival era) follow the steps of the band become in an act of love. Really. Nobody know anything. The christian bookstores have not once Petra CD's, and the interest become closer to zero. But that not matters, this little bunch of Mexican Petheads who live south the border are accustomed to the silence.
John carreer is available!
Greg and Paul carreer must of being followed!
Greg X Volz have new projects!
Bob still can write great songs! And somebody want to sing it!
John Lawry still are producing!
Louie are in active!
Ronny are la little hide, but we can find him!
We are petheads! For the market Petra is over, but not for us!
We will not allow it!
Hey, I need to search my Beyond Belief CD! Wanna to hear again!
Armmmedddd and dddannger....... !!!!

Bob: Whatever he feels like, God bless him. He will have a staring roll in the next Left Behind Movie as one of the great witnesses.
John: Hopefully something more AC, so that he can get back on the radio and make himself some money. John looking cool in a suit, singing some poppy stuff...can I go throw up now? Worst case scenario, another Project Damage Control CD? I think he will do something with Greg and Paul.
Louie: I wonder if they will get their CD done. I hope they do. It has been a year or two in the making.

Y'all get disgusted with John and the AC idea, but I think it would be a great way for him to kick off his solo career. I get a little tired of this juvenile "it's gotta be RAAAWK to be good, man!" I'm not 14 anymore and my interest in music becomes more diversified as the years go by. I've never listened to classical until the last 4 years yet, while driving through nothing but farmland somewhere in Manitoba, meditating on God's goodness in His creation, I came upon a classical song that brought me to tears. This coming from an Aerosmith junkie during my teen years. You may call that weird. I think God calls it grace.
My problem with what's typically played on AC stations is not that it's not hard enough. It's that it's typically shallow and often includes dangerous errors due to it's fluffyness. I could see John doing an album of songs like Lovely Lord, We Need Jesus, Show Me The Way (John's, not Frampton's), etc., and really taking off. I think it would be great for him and his family, not to mentioned AC audiences that need some substance.
