bobs solo

Does anybody know how Bob did his solo from CITAS. I think he was picking. Id love to pick like that but it never sounds right any suggestions please.

Practice.

Sounds simple, but it's the truth. The only way to get good is to practice. How long does it take? Depends on how dedicated your practice time is, and that you're practicing correctly.

I'm not sure what you mean by "picking". Yeah, he had a pick in his hand, but that's not the same as picking.

You also have to remember that Bob is a veteran guitar player with many, many years of experience behind him, so he only makes it look/sound easy. Like the poster above said, the key is practice, practice, and practice.

Also, I think he was using the synthesizer guitar. That would affect the tone.

Roland synth guitar with a pitch shifter program (like Eventide 949, etc).

That guitar is on the wall of the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas, TX, along with Louie's snare.
