I know you're just kidding, Shell, but I love many different types of music. In fact, I wouldn't complain if I couldn't listen to anything written after Mozart. But 70s power pop I cannot stand. It's not as bad as rap or modern country, but it's up there. Some opinionated folks think rock is the only valid sort of music.

I respectfuly disagree. WWT was no more rock than disco was. Electric guitars do not a rock song make. Bob Hartman is on record (in the mid-90s he wrote out his thoughts on all the albums up to No Doubt) as saying he didn't like WWT because it wasn't a rock album. The whole thing was carefully orchestrated to get Petra a much needed radio hit. (At the time, Petra was mainly an underground band.) "Why Should the Father Bother" was a modest hit, but it wasn't nearly as popular as they were hoping for, so Bob said, forget pandering, and he went back to the sound he believed in and left the rest to God.The first 3 WERE rock at the time

A little disco never hurt anybody... especially with a message. Maybe they could do a video using a pitcher of milk and a jar of honey. That would be something to see! Can anybody really picture John singing this song? I don't think he could make it through without losing it!
However, I agree it is a great song! Even if Rockme doesn't like it.
