Absolutely Not!
Scissorhands is right. That would be a silly idea! Let's let Bob move on to something new. I'm really anxious to see him continue as a songwriter. Maybe for John, maybe contributing some new praise and worship with substance, etc.

Quit pestering Edward. Anyone who worked in a small office type of environment would have access to the same information and would likely have similar attitudes to a coworker. He would definitely have the same IP address if he was using the same computer. There's really no reason to doubt that Edward is another guy, and even if it WAS the same guy, who cares?
Bob sounds AWESOME with GHF. His guitar chops really shine much more in that environment than with current Petra, because the old old Petra stuff has a lot more guitar fireworks than anything since. I don't expect Bob to do it as a permanent thing, but it sure sounds good when he jams with 'em.

Why Bob and GHF won't work
I love Bob, but let's face it, he needs to be in control.
Part of the issue with the original Petra may have been too many people with a vote. Once he went to players under contract, the band took off.
From my perspective, he did the right thing. He seems to have a good head on the business of a band, but also has the the balls (excuse the saying) to take a chance and make it work.
I think he wold have a hard time fitting in where a group concensus is needed.
IMHO

I know most of us have seen and known that fact for sometime now, but I could tell the first time I saw them in concert in Orange, Tx in 1981. You could tell he was in control of everything. Also another note is that when Bob came back to the touring sceen 3 years ago did you notice on how the set lists changed and the quality of the shows picked up?

Personally, I'd like to see him do both.

The Quality picked up???? I'm afraid I have to take issue with you there. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the "quality" of Petra's shows without Bob, unless you are speaking from a purely guitarist standpoint because Bob is a master guitarist with few peers. The shows I saw without Bob were energetic, tight, and most importantly, they were spirit-filled. In contrast, the shows I saw when Bob returned at a couple of the festivals in 2004 were just OK. It was great to see him playing again, and they sounded pretty good (in spite of really poor sound equipment at the festivals I attended), but there was no spark. Bob never smiled. The struggles with heat and equipment, and time limitations seemed to limit the feeling of the Spirit's presence and power that I had always felt at Petra concerts. That is one reason I was so extremely happy when I saw Petra in Porterfield, WI in August, before the Farewell tour started, and they seemed to be back to the Petra I knew and loved. The point is, I don't think it had anything to do with leadership as much as it did the circumstances under which they had been forced to play. It is unfair and just wong (in my opinion) to imply that when John was "in control" things were of lesser quality. Also another note is that when Bob came back to the touring sceen 3 years ago did you notice on how the set lists changed and the quality of the shows picked up?
As for Bob joining GHF, I doubt it. Whether or not he "has to be in control", wasn't there an interview or something where one of the reasons given for retirement was that Bob was sick and tired of playing small and poor venues? I don't see GHF playing any halls or arenas anytime soon.
