Kiss changed the lyrics of the original Argent track as well. Petra recorded itseveral times before KISS ever recorded it. I know KISS's version is on the Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey soundtrack.kngser88 wrote:hmm..this is probably an old topic..but "God gave rock and roll to you" was never kiss's song..it was used just like petra. I'm almost embarrassed to admit I know this, but KISS changed some of the lyrics as a tribute to or reference to their drummer (Eric Carr) losing battle with cancer.
