ghf & bob hartman
Bob, like any guitar player has a definitive style. Once you have heard it, you have heard it. The style must match the song/music. Having seen nearly every incarnation of the band myself, I too can vouch for professionalism and skill of the players while on stage, without Bob. For the music that the band had to play in that era, they were better without Bob.

I thought Q. always did an excellent job. I was glad to see Bob back on tour, but I was sad to see Quinton go.

The question came from curiosity. It would be interesting to see what God would do with the four guys that started Petra, in the 2000s. How would people react. Can a band that has spanned 4 decades, changed many times over 33 years go back to their roots and still be relevant? To my knowledge it will never happen (but i cannot put God in a box), GHF will go on playing locally, Petra will retire, but i thought it was a good question.

I agree. The one time I saw him with Petra was in the Summer of 2002 at the St. Joseph County 4-h Fair in South Bend, IN. He was "ON" that night. The whole band was "ON" for that matter. My wife(fiance at the time) and I took a friend who had never seen Petra. We asked him how he liked it. His answer: "THEY ROCK!" I was able to get Quinton's signature on my copy of Revival, along with John's and Greg Bailey's.sue d. wrote:Q was an awesome guitarist.
