Hey Tina. This is Jim. I'm 42(will be 43 in April), been married 2 1/2 years. When I got married I became the dad to two teenage girls-Strong-willed teenage girls
and I'm a first time parent. I'm mildly inconvenienced with Cerebral Palsy(motor skills mostly)that affects the left side of my body. So, you might say I'm "not in my right mind" so to speak.

Praise Dios - Definitely
Yo Tina, what's up? My name is Dan, I'm 20, and a college student. I play trombone and piano, and I study foreign languages including Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese. Been a Petra fan since a kid. Besides Petra, I like to listen to Stryper, U2, Styx, and Weird Al Yankovic. I really enjoy humor, as you all can probably tell. Grew up in a Christian family, yet I became a born-again believer when I was 14.

In high school psychology class, I wrote a reserarch paper on cerebral palsy. I reember there are 3 types, one of them is called ataxic, but I don't recall the names of the other two. Hyper-something and hypo-something... I know they both have to do with abnormal muscle tone, one is which muscles are too tight and the other is which muscles are flaccid (loose). What type do you have?
As a child I was diagnosed with something called PDD - I don't remember what that stands for (the last D must be "disorder") and it was, I think, a form of autism or something closely related. It inhibited my social skills and I was unable to socialize like other children my age.
By this time I grew out of it. Since high school I have been able to socialize and behave normally. Even though the doctors predicted I would continue to have the disorder the rest of my life. I think it's a miracle that my condition disappeared. I am tremendously grateful and I thank God so much.

That's good that you've done that. I've been blessed with parents, and with my sister who wouldn't let me feel "handicapped". They, gently, pushed me to do my best. My wife, now, doesn't let me feel that way, either. I was a pretty good student in school. The only problem I had was in Gym class. I did my best, but, just wasn't coordinated enough to be good at a lot of the stuff they had us do. In 8th grade, though, I got A's in Gym because the teacher graded on effort and attitude rather than how well you did things. Mr. Coffman(my Gym teacher) was impressed that I wasn't afraid to try.tinasattler wrote:yes your in yourright mind i have met alot of sarebul palsey adultds and children i wase avolenter techer fore sum spechal ed clases i loved it i made shure thay knew howe spechal thay are to our hevanley father i told them to not let anney on tel them ther nonot spechal i neaver cal anney one retarted i knowe god hates that word so do i it makes me mad win sum one ses that people ho arre difrent god hates them i have hurd that alot and its nottrue at all jesus loves all his children in cluding handeycaped onesjimmye4563 wrote:Hey Tina.
