I finally got my Petra concert pics up

Post by e5c4p3artist » Fri Feb 03, 2006 10:33 pm

They're nothing really special because the venue was pretty small and plain. It made me think about that post a few months back where Wayne Seboa insulted some guy because his lighting rig was too puny, in his opinion, for a Petra concert. I sure wish that guy had been there with his rig at the concert I saw - they had no lights but house lights there.

I remember the guy said that Wayne told him that Petra's "merchandise displays were bigger" than his lighting setup. They must not bring the big displays to where I live. The two opening acts had merch tables as big or bigger.

Wayne was also the one who gave the intermission "sponser a child" speech for whichever organization Petra is currently supporting and I finally got to see his sparkling personality in action. He insulted the audience several times because we were not as responsive as he'd hoped and people were looking around like "who the heck is this guy anyway?"

Anyway, I digress. Earlier I said the pictures were nothing special because of the venue. I guess what I should have said was that the venue was nothing special. Because of course the pictures are special because they have Petra in them!

Good pics. It probably is pointless to discuss management since they're officially no longer a band, but I will say if he wanted to get sponsors, that wasn't the way to go about it. It's normal not to respond well to insults or someone attempting to steam roll you. That applies to anyone, not just him. And it should be the message, not the venue, that matters.
'Nuff said.

Just a note to tell you how much I enjoyed the pictures. Not to mention the site itself. I just hope I don't run into Wayne if I have John Schlitt in the future (which I am furiously on for my youth), I might forget that I am a minister.

Have a great day.
