Prayer for husband

Post by AlwaysJohnLawryFan » Tue Feb 21, 2006 11:17 am

The army has started his medical board but Charles doesn't know yet if they are going to let him stay in the army or not. They may give him a medical retirement. He even went out to look for a second job to make ends meet already. I offer to go to work, he said no .

There are not much jobs out there except the police and fire department. He said he is going to put in for the police department when or if they med board him out of the army. But right he put in an application for Papa Johns .

I just ask if you all will pray that they won't med board him out but if they do, let him get a good paying job.

thanks,
Debra

I forgot one thing that I didn't mention. I got a second job and I will be starting at 5 pm today. I am not out of the army yet and I am expecting it will be a few months. I just needed to find a part time job along with the army to make ends meet. I don't want my wife to go out and get a job. I am going to put in with the police department when I do get out of the army. I think Deb had mentioned it, if not, I just did. She and the kids won't get to see me much now. I know she will be waiting til 11 pm when I walk in the door. Delivering pizzas ain't much but it helps out along with my army pay.

Welcome to the Zone, Charles. I'll be praying for you.

Both of my grandpas served in the military during WWII. One served in the Army, the other in the Navy. My grandpa who served in the Navy was once stationed at Pearl Harbor, next to a ship that was bombed. I'm thankful neither of my grandparents were killed in battle; if they were, I probably would not have existed.

Awww Deb and Charles. I just read your prayer request. Man, I do hope that you won't have to leave the Army. All this is up to the Lord and in Hiim you can rest and trust in. I know that this is a scary time, the Lord knows my husband and I have been through it also the past year, but I'm so thankful that our Father in Heaven never left us, never forsook us and that He was always there providing in one way or another, even when we fretted.

It's cool that you don't want your wife to work, Charles, maybe you can find something to do from home Deb. I got a job working at home for an import/export business.......God can provide if He wants you to help out in that way. I left it up to the Lord in that situation.

I will be praying for you.

Dear Lord Jesus,

How awesome You are that You bring to our attention when someone has a need and - asks for prayer. What a privilege we have that we can come to You and ask You for help and You so lovingly reach out Your arms to comfort anyone who's in need.
Lord, Deb and Charles are in a very uncertain situation. Charles would love to stay with the Army and finish his duty - Lord so we ask that You would move in this situation. May he be able to continue staying in the Army - maybe they may even offer him another position he can do there, without him having to go to a job elsewhere. But Lord if YOu choose to send him somewhere else we pray, Lord, that You would bring about that perfect job, that position that will offer them to continue paying their bills, fill their needs and wants and provide for all that they have need of.
Lord You know their situation, You know their anxious thoughts and You know the trouble they carry in their hearts. Please help them to put their trust in YOu, Lord we can't even do that on our own. We need Your assurance, we need to hear from You powerfully so that we keep our eyes on You, not the situation. Lord thank You that You have them firmly in Your hands and that they do not have to worry for their future.

Thank YOu Lord that they are blessed when they come in and blessed when they go out. They are blessed in the city and blessed in the country and blessed is everything that they put their hands to in all they work that they do. Blessed is their household and all that they have.
They are the head and not the tail and they will lend to many nations and not borrow. Lord, make them fruitful in all that they do and open up the windows of heaven and pout out a blessing upon them and may finances come from unexpected sources to fill all their needs!

Thank You Lord that You have the job situation under control and that You guide them when the time comes for decision making and that You help them to hear from YOu.

We praise You and thank You that You are such a loving Father and I thank You that they will have one awesome testimony that will glorify Your name!!! In Jesus Name...........AMEN.

If you guys want to talk - just share - please do e-mail me at: [email protected]

I hope I can encourage you........I only know too well what it's like and what you might be going through.

Thank you Sam. It really means alot to us. Yeah I wouldn't mind working from home after I get through home schooling the kids everyday. Charles (hint) lol..

I am good at typing sometimes and good at computer work. I had to teach myself how to use the computer and other things. Something I am interested in computers. I am not nowhere smart on them yet , but I am learning.
