Japanglish-ized Petra album titles

Post by yamasaaaki har har » Fri Feb 17, 2006 1:13 pm

Japanese has very a different phonetic system from English, making it impossible to prounounce, and romanize, all English words correctly. You might get a kick out of these:

Petra - Pettora

Come - Kamu Ando Join Asu

Washes - Washezu Waitaa Zan

Never - Neba Sei Dai

More - Moa Pawaa Tsu Ya

Not - Notto Abu Jisu Waarudo

Beat - Bitto Za Shisutemu

Captured - Kappuchaado In Taimu Ando Supeisu

Back - Bakku Tsu Za Sutoriito

This - Jisu Minzu Waa!

On - An Faiyaa!

Praise - Pettora Pureizu: Za Rokku Kuraizu Auto

Beyond - Biyondo Biriifu

Unseen - Anshin Pawaa

Wake-Up - Ueikappu Kohru

No Doubt - No Dauto

Praise 2 - Pettora Pureizu Tsuu: Uii Niido Jizasu

God Fixation - Goddo Fikkuseishan

Double - Daburu Teiku

Revival - Ribaibaru

Jekyll - Jekkoru Ando Haido

Farewell - Ferueru

Ha ha, finally something from Japan that doesn't make me recoil in fear, throw my hands up in total confusion, or roll my eyes in utter disdain.

Sure we can talk about John, unlike you he's proud to be an American. However, several other petheads and I are tired of all the nonsense Japanese references that no one else really cares about. Instead of putting up lame stuff like that you could be beating on a gong or something. I pray that Godzilla will pound some sense into you!

I guess I'm out. I'm not a proud american either. I didn't see the disclaimer that insisted only those who are can post here.

And now I wonder How the crap Matthew RJ got in...?

So am I. As much as I appreciate foreign cultures, I'm thankful I was born and grew up in the U.S.A. I love America!

If I am bothering you with anything I say, just politely let me know and I'll be glad to stop saying it. I'm very sorry if my references to Japan and its language / culture were offensive to you guys in any way, shape, or form. But please be considerate of your attitudes - I am currently struggling with low self-esteem and some problems in my life, and I really don't appreciate being spoken to that way. Plus, I think that my Japanese (*sorry*) friends at college would be really hurt if they heard the negative things that you said about their country in this thread.

Once again, if you want me to stop talking about Japan, I am willing to drop the subject altogether.

God bless you. :D
