Inpop site down

Post by Michael » Mon Feb 27, 2006 11:09 am

Am I the only one who hasn't been able to reach inpop.com all weekend?

I can't say that I tried to go to inpop.com lately, but since you mentioned it, I just tried and it appears to be down.

For what it's worth (and we all know it's not much), petraband.com is also gone.

It appears that Petra's site is hosted by Inpop, or at least hosted by the same company as who hosts Inpop's site. The websites of other Inpop recording artists, including Tree63, Sarah Brendel, Superchick, and several others are also down right now.

I noticed it first on Saturday. I can imagine nobody getting it back online on the weekend (unprofessional, but not inexcusable), but I can't believe it's Monday afternoon and it's still down!

The Inpop server, which hosts many of our artists websites in addition to Inpop.com, crashed on Friday afternoon and the problem was apparently pretty complex. The staff at the place where our server is maintained was limited over the weekend, and they've been working at it all day today. I am told it should be resolved sometime Tuesday am.

Here's hoping... it kind of makes my job as ONLINE marketing coordinator a little difficult ;)

Wow... that's tough luck. Might be time to consider another provider; there are lots of places that have redundancy so that if one server goes down, another takes right over. I'm sure there's someplace in Nashville like that, but if not I can hook you up with one I know of here in Tulsa. :)

Guess we're not the only site that goes down, huh, Michael?
(although ours is from too much usage, not bad servers)
