Don't know about a whole tour, but they definately did a festival performance or two together.

This is probably going to catch me a lot of fire...but oh, well...

The picture I think is of Petra (I think that is Bob Hartman on the far right) - but I am having trouble recognizing the other four in the picture. Perhaps I need a new pair of glasses...but in the meantime, could someone tell me who appears in this photo?

Also, if I just made a fool of myself and that picture is NOT one of Petra's, which band is it?

HEAD EAST. The secular band John Schlitt was in, then got kicked out of, because of drug/alcohol abuse.

That was a few years before John was in Petra; that was in the 70s. Not everyone will be aware John was in a secular band before he was with Petra.

Does anyone know when the Black Oak Arkansas pic is from?

I was aware of John's history with Head East...and also aware that he was kicked out of the band for drug and alcohol abuse. I have never before seen a picture of John BEFORE he was in Petra, much less a picture of the band Head East.

Come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever seen an actual picture of Petra from the Greg X. Volz days - I've seen pics of the original 1970's Petra, but not the early 1980's Petra.

Back to the original topic - Seeing as how I was born in 1981, my inability to recognize the group should be understandable. If I understand the timeline correctly, John would have already been dismissed from Head East or just left the group when I was born.

I apologize for my ignorance, and thank you for clarifying the picture for me.
