in case you guys don't know, the newsboys.com has news saying that Paul Colman, (yes THEEEE Paul Colman) has been named new Guitar Player for the Newboys.

What happened to Jody Davis??

Jody left to be with his family. From what I've heard, he and his wife have a child(son I think) who is sick and he felt the Lord leading him to go home to be with his wife and child. If I got any of that wrong please correct me.
The Newsboys had one of the guys from Casting Pearls fill in for a while before Paul came aboard.

Yeah, that's right, although Jody's child is a daughter named Bethany.

Jody's daughter Bethany has been sick off and on since she was born, and has spent much time in hospitals and etc. Jody chose to be with his family (with the blessings of the rest of the Newsboys and most of the fans...)

I didn't feel their last guitarist, Bryan somebody--sorry I forget his name, was a good fit, and haven't seen them play live much since Jody left for good a couple years ago.

I also saw the former guitarist from Big Tent Revival filling in for Jody for a handful of shows a few years ago, right after Bethany was born. He did well in a pinch, but Jody came back to the band after that.

Paul Colman, however, did a GREAT job when I saw them last Saturday night. I loved Paul Colman Trio, and was anxious to see how the combination with Newsboys worked. I think we have a winner!
