I'm sure we will. My goal is to win it all, of course, but as long as I finish ahead of him, I think I'll be happy. 8)

Right now, we have 12 teams, and that should be good. If someone else joins before Friday, that's fine too. We just have to have an even number of teams to conduct the draft. We'll still plan for this Friday, March 17th, to set the draft status to ready. I'll set it in the morning, and then the yahoo computer system will randomize the order and pick the teams late that night most likely.

Also, each week after the games are final and the standings are done, I'll post those here on this message board for everyone to see.

The draft status has been changed to ready. It should pick the teams some time tonight.

I'm real happy with my picks. The only one that is a problem would be Clemens because if he does pitch it will be for only half a season.

Yes, the league is drafted. Overall, I'm pleased with my picks as well. However, what do I know, I usually end in last in baseball leagues. I did manage a third place finish once though, although I have no idea how I did it.

Games will get under way on April 2nd, when the MLB season gets under way. Each fantasy game against each opponent lasts for one week, then the standings are tabulated.

This is a first for me with Baseball, I've always done football.
I'll just see how it works.

I enjoy football a lot more than the other fantasy sports, although I do enjoy them. Football registration will begin in June (which I honestly think is a bit early, considering the season doesn't start until September), and we can do a football league too.

My football psyche is still recovering from my favorite team, Dallas Cowboys, signing Terrell Owens this past weekend. I'm still figuring out how I'm going to treat the Cowboys this year, lol.

This is funny but I've lived in Dallas(McKinney) now for 15 years and I still hate and will always hate the Cowboys. I think Owens will be good for them and I laughed when Jerry signed him. I'm a Browns fan and also is from Cleveland and have high hopes for the future.

The Browns could be a team I choose to root for now. They've always been a team that could just never get over the hump (well since the 60s) anyway.

A few of seasons ago, they had that big lead on the Steelers in the wild card playoffs and let it slip away. That was a wild weekend of football. That same weekend was that game in which the 49ers came back against the Giants. The Giants tried to kick a winning field goal at the end, had a bad snap, and then the holder tried to throw a pass into the endzone. There was pass interference, but the refs didn't call it. The NFL the next day said the refs made the bad call.

And of course no Browns fan, or Broncos fan, for that matter will forget those two memorable AFC Championship games in the 80s. First the Drive by Elway, and then next year, the Ernest Byner fumble.

Yes, Jerry Jones, as the Cowboys owner, is a bit like the antichrist, to some Cowboys fans.

Play Ball! Well the MLB and fantasy seasons are now underway. Good luck everyone!

For those of you new to the game, you don't get fantasy stats for anyone on the bench. Also, they must have an actual game played and to have played in the game to have stats.

Executioner, here's the answer to your question, as copied from the yahoo fantasy baseball rulles:

For all leagues that do not use weekly transactions, all intra-roster moves (switching players between active and bench spots) can be made until five (5) minutes before the start of each player's game. None of the players involved in a move can have played or be within five minutes of their game's start time. So, for example, all players who play at 4:30 p.m. PT can be moved until 4:25 p.m. PT on game day.

I'm sorry I didn't send it to you in the message system. It's currently being uncooperative to me.

Thanks for all the info. It is really hard deciding who to put on the bench and everything, but I think I will enjoy it especially since I'm going to dominate you all.

I leave for Nigeria on the 18th, so I'll make sure my lineups are set.

Two years ago when I went, I was gone for a month. When I left, in my baseball league I was like 10th or 11th out of 12 teams. While I was over there, I was albe to check email, etc. at the internet cafes (of course that's where I was robbed too), but I changed my team name to Nigerian Ebo.

Ebo is what the Nigerians call white people. After the name change, my team really started coming on for some reason (like the name change had anything to do with it).

I may be able to check in on my teams this time around also, but I won't have a lot of need to go to the internet cafes this time. My wife will be with me on the trip.
