CITAS vs CITS Debate Is Over!

Post by BriGuyPEI » Fri May 19, 2006 9:33 pm

In all this talk about the DVD we missed the most important thing about this whole thread. The CITAS vs CITS debate is now over forever!
PetraFounder wrote:As some of you know, the CITAS masters were "lost" by Starsong years ago.
Bob Hartman calls it "CITAS". Therefore it is now and always will be "CITAS". End of story.

Thanks Bob, for clearing that one up. It has been the cause of endless debates here on The Zone.

Dag nabbit, great horny toads!!!!!

I actually started to post something about that this morning asking Bob that very thing. Then I re-read it and saw that he had used the CITAS abbr... so I deleted my post.

Two things here.

1. I am going to back now and say that really it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. (I am still the rightful owner of the name "Bakersfieldpethead")

2. CITS has been verified to have been used first.

3. Maybe Bob just thought that was the way we all abbreviated it, so that's how he typed it.

Oh well, you've won this time Jonathan Gamble, but I'll be back. And with Hostess treats, and you can't have any.

On the Revival DVD there was portions from CITAS and they seem to be very good quality I wonder if this was done from a VHS?. Also on the Revival DVD there is footage from 1982 or 83? this would be great on DVD aswell!

I'm with you on this one, Enosh.... (I really to lose an arguement). I do believe Bob was just following suit so as not to offend the numerous Petheads who erroneously chose to use the CITAS abbreviation during the course of this thread.

Enosh, when you come back, I've got your back (and will be watching for those Ho Ho's).

Yeah there are a bunch of sore losers on here. I finally have consulted with a professional on this matter and we all have been wrong all along the exact correct abbrevation is....... CiTaS. So there it is finally settled.

Me and my other personalities have been arguing over this since I've been on the Petra Zone. Before that, we knew that no such argument existed and a few of us feel guilty for arguing about it. However, there does not yet to be any clear winner in the argument...Must take my, uh, our, medicine now...

Well, we're doing pretty well if the worst thing we can argue about is whether a CD should be called CITAS or CITS...

Geez! no one is reading my post above? I emailed a UNT professor that I know and he said the correct english abbrevation is CiTaS. I guess I'm being ignored because everyone was wrong including me.

Well, now that you've identified your professional source (for all we know you could have been referring to YOURSELF), I am willing to compromise and use CiTaS as the official abbreviation. :P

Now how can I be a professional? I'm not smart enough to know the ins- and-outs of the English language. I hate all those courses in HS and college.
