I wasn't trying to say the keyboard players were not good, but just out of date or maybe they just didn't capture the magic like John had done before. I felt like if Petra would have starting putting out albums like JAH after WUC they would still be in the market today. That sound on JAH is what made the sound of Rock-n-Roll over the last ten years or so.

I don't think it would've mattered what type of music they would've played; there were too many other factors working against the band in those years.

My vote goes for "Jekyll & Hyde".
What a way to start off an album! Sledgehammer riff from Bob, and John shows that he has definitely NOT lost any lung power. My favorite part of the song is the chorus. While John peels the paint off the wall bellowing, "He makes me do what I don't want to do...sometimes I feel like Jekyll and Hyde!", listen to that locomotive riff from Bob underneath. The tolling bell is a nice touch, too.
While everyone loves that Petra released a "rock" album again (and JEKYLL & HYDE is definitely their heaviest since WAKE UP CALL), I also noticed that this is also one of the darkest albums ever released by the band. Then again, maybe it's just me.
If Petra had to retire, I'm glad they went out on a musical high note.
