That is true, and it is no secret, I would LOVE to throw myself on the bill with John, but I've also got to be a responsible promoter and get some local draws (although I might could squeeze in there.

haha
About Bread of Stone...what did you think of them? I saw them on the Tampa and Dawsonville dates with Petra and I rather liked them live, but was dissapointed with the CD. The ONE song I wanted to be on the Cd, wasn't. Don't ya hate it when that happens? It was the song they always open with..."everything is beautiful" or something like that. I found it on their purevolume site later and it turns out that their best song is an older one (i guess why they didn't put it ontheir cd). Tis a shame. I couldn't really get into the rest of the cd. But they were decent live...despite the sound problems in Dawsonville.

I wasn't actually planning on opening for John if I have him becasue I wasn't sure the styles would go well together.
That's one perk of being a promoter - and a musician. Just put yourself on the bill - and you don't have to convince anyone that it's OK to do it, because YOU'RE the one in charge!
In fact, the promoter in Seattle just did that... and John's promoter in Indy is a COUNTRY singer - and he's billing the show as a "Rock 'n Country" evening in an attempt to expose people to both styles of music.
Kind of a cool idea - why not?!

haha Thats awesome! Good Point! I just dont want to waist any space on the bill if there's someone I could put on that has a way better draw than myself. I have NO shortage of artists, comedians, and speakers at my disposal. BUT, I will probably play a few songs, just to say I did lol

Thanks Sue!
