Cheese?? why do you say that?
I thought the vid was very cool.... I loved all the candles on the set and often wondered how long it took to light them all without burning down the set!
Though you could notice in some shots that there was less water on the floor than at other times. How did they keep all that water in there? I'll bet the guys' feet got pretty cold after a while!
I don't think it was cheesy at all.... but then again, I live in WI, the Cheese Capital of the U.S. of A.

What? They cut the cheese?...I couldn't help it. Did any of you watch the Metal show on VH1 the other night? Gosh! All of those guys were looking queer as queer could be. I swear. Some of those metal guys looked tough. But, the ladies shoes, ladies shirts, ladies hair, ladies make-up....whoa! I did like that music though.

Re: CITAS
Try looking at the link in the very first post. Or you could try here since it has an extra period on the end that has to be removed.fcollazo wrote:Where is the Petra Merchandise web-site. Is the CITAS DVD done? Anybody know? Please Advise.
God Bless, Felipe.

CITAS DVD
Hey everyone,
I wrote Bob last week when I heard that he was working on getting the fans CITAS on DVD. He wrote back to me and his reply is below.
James,
Thanks for the offer. As far as I know, the masters of those other videos you mentioned are still available. I am no sure because I haven't checked. The real problem would be in obtaining a license to reproduce and distribute the again. Word has a reputation of not being very generous when it comes to licensing fees. I don't know if it would be worth the money. The success of CITAS will be a test of the waters as to how many collectors there are out there. On your offers to Petra fans, FYI, according to US copyright laws, a person can only make a copy for themselves legally. I would think that unless they supply you with their actual copy of the videos, you making them one from your copy would be an unlawful reproduction, even though you are not making any money on it.
Blessings,
Bob
I told Bob that I was a Graphic Designer from Ontario and that I was planning on recreating all of Petra's video projects for the fans. Many of you may remember me posting this information through some yahoo groups. After hearing back from Bob, I've changed my mind about the recreations. I don't want to upset Mr. Hartman, but work with him to try and keep the ministry of Petra alive. I offered my services to him as a designer and at this time he's declined.
In the meantime, I will be setting up my fan site petraband.ca and trying to make available videos for you to watch. Also, I hope to have some guitar tabs and sheet music from my own personal collection for viewing. We need to follow the rules and try to help Bob as much as we can.
Thanks for all your hard work and interest in us the fans Bob!

Funny how licensing works. It's so convoluted.
Well now that this is available it will certainly be interesting to see how good the quality is. I have a VHS to DVD and although good, it has some problems at the beginning.
I'm thinking of getting three. One for me, one for my sis, and one for my brother. Not sure if he would be interested though.

Comeon everyone where's the advertising on this? I don't see anything on the guide to petra, no one talking about it. It's available now, time to get the word out!
Keep in mind you John Schlitt fans, if this sells well you may very well be able to get the schlitt era videos (and who knows what other goodies) as well. So even if you are not a big fan of Volz, buy it. OK?
We've been clamoring for this so long, now is the time to put yer money where your mouth is.

Oh PLEASE!! Give me a break here... I don't live on the Internet. I knew it was coming out because of what I had seen here, but I didn't know when exactly (actually I think Josh said that it was supposed to have been June 6, but then it wasn't... and Bob hasn't contacted me about it.) Today I saw that it was up so I put a news item on the site about it. I also sent out 922 emails, and that is not a wild exaggeration. Some will probably bounce, but SOMEBODY is going to know about it!greenchili wrote:Comeon everyone where's the advertising on this? It was available a few days ago.
I wonder if there are other ways to get the word out, like christian magazines, internet radio, whatever.

I ordered mine. What an awesome thing you've done for us, Bob.
Now, how about Backstage Pass? That's my all-time favorite Petra video release. My VHS is wearing out.
Hey, Michael (Jones). You might want to send that email that you sent to your mailing list to some media outlets. Spiff it up a bit so it reads like a press release. I'd post it at CMCentral but, well, I'm not there anymore. But I'm pretty sure Brenten would post it if he recieved it, and a lot of other ccm sites as well. It'd really help create buzz and increase sales for Bob.
I also sent out a bulletin to all of my Myspace friends letting them know about the release. That's something easy that anyone can do.
