Star Wars revamping

Post by yamasaaaki har har » Sun Jul 16, 2006 10:41 pm

I was about to buy the new DVD releases of SW 4 - 6 at Wal-Mart. But it's a good thing I didn't because I read reviews on Amazon that Lucas apparently ruined them with dumb revisions such as Greedo shooting first, voice dubbing, different singer at Jabba's theatre, new-age CGI graphics... I'm glad I didn't buy those DVD's because I would prefer to see SW 4-6 as they originally were. Will the original versions be released later this year as rumor says?

Where've you been??

Supposedly there is a new box set coming out later this year with the original releases. Only problem is it includes the altered versions as well as NO effort has been made to clean it up or convert it to anamorphic widescreen.

If you can live with that then your good to go.

As for me. I'm not "that" desperate for them. Lucas can kiss my... Uh er.. I'm hoping all the backlash from that release will cause him to do the right thing.

On Endor partying with the Ewoks. We sure had a lot of fun. I decided it would be a cool way to spend my summer break.

As for the videos I guess I can look for original VHS copies.

Actually, I was never a SW fan until just last year, so that's why I'm finding stuff out late. :D I still know very little about the films.

Last night I watched on a DVD some deleted scenes from Episode III as well as documentaries about the making of that movie. It was quite interesting and it sure opened my eyes to how such a tremendous amount of time and work went into making just one scene.
