It's been a while since I've stopped by. I do check in once in a while but life can keep you busy. I keep you in my prayers and I do miss you all.
Anyway, I wrote a song and thought I'd share it with you guys. I have heard from friends and family that it's got some Petra roots (although there's no way it's that good). See what you think. I know singing Petra all my life has developed my style of singing and writing. I think the lyrics are that "I'm not ashamed, I'm gonna reach out to people and give God glory" kinda thing that I admire in Petra.
It was written for the people I work with, the unsaved people who I want to reach out to and witness to.
I want to do music. It's a passion in my life and I feel God has put that in my heart for a reason. John Schlitt is my hero, an awsome example who I will always look up to. The things Petra did and how they did it are a great encouragement to me. You really can make a difference.
So I am in the process of making a cd. I am getting some songs I wrote together and gonna get some people to add parts to them. This is just a demo, a rough draft if you will. Please keep in mind there will be more added and I can sing it better.
I wrote the lyrics, music, and did the vocals.
My husband Brian did the drums, bass, and both guitar parts. It was recorded in our home studio.
