Question about a 80's group Bob Hartman produced
This might be a bit vauge but I had a cassette of a 80's group that Bob Hartman produced. Many said that it was over produced but I absolutely loved it. But for the life of me I can not remember the bands name. I believe that they only had one maybe two albums. Could you help me on that? Thanks.

Could you be talking about Mastedon?
Mastedon was mostly the work of John and Dino Elefante, but had some pretty impressive names working with them. I remember Bob's name being affiliated with their two albums, but I don't remember if it was just as a songwriter or if he had a producting role.

Bob only wrote the lyrics to the song "Shine on" on the "Jungle-record".
On the "Lofcaudio", he doesn't contribute as far as I can see.

As far as I know Bob did some producing / arranging for the self-titled album of the band Halo. I'm not sure what he exactly did. As Trodlan says, Bob did only write one song for the It's A Jungle Out There album.

It was Halo
Thanks for the information. I really liked their first LP never heard the second. Maybe they did not make it was due to the fact of the saturation of the market at the time. I guess the same could be said about the market at this time. Anyway, thanks for all the information. I lost some of my collection through the years and wanted to see if I could get some of it back on CD. Again, thanks for the information.

Well that and the fact that seemingly any new group coming out of John and Dino Elefante's Pakaderm Studios in those days sounded pretty much the same.PrayinManis wrote: Maybe [Halo] did not make it was due to the fact of the saturation of the market at the time.

With the notable exception of Guardian, but then again they were around before they met John and Dino. But that's where they hit it big.Mountain Man wrote:Well that and the fact that seemingly any new group coming out of John and Dino Elefante's Pakaderm Studios in those days sounded pretty much the same.
