Hey Sue,
With all those acts performing on the same night ... that will make for quite a long show. Do you know how much time Petra will get on stage? I (of course) hope they get plenty! And what I think would be REALLY cool is if they would give us maybe one song off of Vertical Expressions and one off of John's new album?!?!? I know its not exactly "Petra" but a lot of bands will promote a member's solo projects - I think it would be a real treat to the fans (on top of the HUGE treat of the reunion performance alone!!) but of course if their time is very limited they may want to keep it strictly Petra
Anyways, just thinking!!

I really don't know much time any of the band's are getting... but I like your idea, though I don't know how that would go over.

ahh man... with so much goin on right now in my life - more responsibility with same (low) paycheck at work, all the expenses with room decorating and apparel for the twins that are coming in August, a fairly high debt in the bank - this is such good news!
(not the twins are bad news lol hope i won't be mistaken.)
too bad i am too far (both in geographically and financially) to attend.
PETRA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surfing through John's website, I just noticed that the Petra show is no longer listed on the Tour Dates section (although it IS still listed on the Legends Festival site) - is this just a typo, or does this mean that Petra will not be reuniting for this one show after all?

It means that the Festival itself is in trouble....
The promoter's major financial backer pulled out due to personal circumstances, so at this point it doesn't look like the festival itself will be happening; at least not on July 29, though there is a slim chance.
It's getting a little late for proper advertising and such... there is talk about moving it to Labor Day weekend, but first a financial sponsor must be found.
If anyone has any connections, leads or ideas for the promoter - post them here. PLEASE!

Very, very sad. All the Petra guys were really looking forward to this event.
Please pray for Mike, the promoter. He lost a lot of money on this already, and really wants to do it at some point.
