Al Gore never claimed to have invented the internet. I've read the transcript and hear the sound byte. What he said was that he was responsible for legislation that allow the internet to be created. Egotistical? Yes. Insane, untruthful blabbering? No. I can't say how involved he really was with that legislation or if he was making his part in it sound like a bigger deal than it was, but he never claimed to invent the internet. That was a fabrication by Rush Limbaugh and co. to feed the masses who refuse to do their own research and believe whatever talking heads tell them to believe.
