Viktor signs with EMJ Productions and is now booking!

Post by petrafreak2009 » Fri May 02, 2008 5:36 am

I am very happy to announce that Viktor, a Christian Pop/Rock band from Atlanta, GA, has signed with my booking agency, EMJ Productions. As you may know Louie Weaver is the drummer, with Jimi Bennett from King James and Sacred Fire doing the vocals, Tommy Brown doing the Bass, Shane Regal from Messiah Prophet on Guitars, and Terry McCollam doing the Keyboard. If you or anyone you know would like to book them for a concert, you can reach me at [email protected] or 864-426-8862 anytime. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek God's Will in this as we hope to FINISH the "Do You Believe" record really soon. If you wish to order the Prerelease of the album, visit http://viktorband.com/home.html and click on the BUY NOW link.
EMJ Productions can be found on Myspace and Shoutlife, as well as our artists, Viktor and SAINT-DA-FIED at:

Is Louie Weaver still in the band? I ask because the half a dozen dates Viktor played in 2007 Louie was not even there.

Yes, he is still with the band. The reason he was not at those dates was because of the money issue. As you know, the music industry is not what it was in the 80's and 90's. Therefore, he drives tour buses to provide for his family. If the money's right, just like with John, he'll be there. You interested?

Yep! Thats awesome! I think all the guys "Except" Louie live around the Atlanta Metro area correct? So mabe it depends on the place and of course the $ , if Louie will be able to play. I know when they did the tv show last year in ATL, i believe it was Tommys (bass player) brother in law who filled in on drums. I have thier performances of that on youtube! Lookin fwd to the re release of Viktors cd. I dont know how much better it can get compared t o the pre release. Its pretty good! I know mabe Shane wants to add some more rockin guitar? Ive heard a few of the songs b4 they were edited to the pre release. both versions sounded cool! anyways,, just ramblin, and this is a band im cool with! God Bless!

That is correct. Louie is in Nashville, where he drives his tour bus for bands. If anyone is interested in having this AWESOME, AMAZING band at their church or event, give me a holler. You'll love the new stuff Microkoe. Their gonna record a new song and everything for the full release. I'm working with 80 radio stations and distribution stores such as LifeWay, WALMART, Walgreens, SAMS, Family Christian Stores.com, Christianbook.com, Food Lion, Infinity Distribution, etc. Hopefully that'll be out soon. The single we're looking at for the radio stations is "Who I Am". If you haven't bought this CD yet, like John's The Grafting, it will touch your soul to the inmost part and I urge you to purchase it.

I was hoping for a Petra meets King James record myself. Then Louie told me the ideals of the band, causing me to understand why things sound like they do.

As John Schlitt has said, the kids are not listening to legacy artists, so appealling to the older churched crowd is the obvious choice.

I do wish that the band would do a hard rock CD, so that I could get some good rockin guitar and heavy drumming. I know that the industry poo poos on this concept, and Louie is happy playing the lighter pop stuff now. But I can dream out loud.

I'm with you on this Brent. I'm ready for some good ole blazin' guitars, and heavy drums. All these guys have rock roots and should go where their roots are. The Christian Pop scene is so flooded right now that it will be next to impossible for them to get anywhere. I've heard the CD and I was really disappointed in the style of music because I know these guys have it in them to rock. Pop music is for the teenage girl to soccer mom crowd and I'm not one of them.

Before you degrade the band, here's a little leak about the CD. Family Force 5 is supposed to be producing the last two songs that will be added to the final CD, so no one knows what THAT'll sound like!

I like Viktor. They have a good sound so i am glad they are continuing. We had the honor and the privilege to be the first station to ever play them. The great thing about that is the Jimi was in the chatroom during the show that night and thank us. We said no thank you. If i had the funds I would love to bring them out here to Southern California. Even if I did have the money its a tuff sell here now. Hardly any bands come out here now and I would love to change that.

petrafreak2009,

I am curious as to why I see the exact same post in both this and the Other Topics forum. This could be considered spamming. It may be preferred that you keep posts like this relegated to the Other Topics forum.

Nobody is degrading the band. Come on. If you are going to work in this industry, you need to have some thicker skin. You must master rejetion and resist the need to comment after people post their opinions, countering with a correction. It is hard for me too. We bands want to be liked and loved no matter what we do. This is almost impossible.

We have opinions. I didn't even get that deep. In fact, I thought that I was unbiased, stating that I understood the sound of their first release once Louie told me what the objectives were, and what he wanted to play post-Petra.

You have to look outside the CCM industry to the indie bands to find that anymore. Tooth and Nail records seems to be the best "Christian" label to find anything up that alley nowdays.

I have to be very selective in what I buy nowadays because we have a 8 month old with a limited budget, and after listening to cuts off the album my ears found it to be just another shallow pop album. I'm a critic of music and sports and I'm sorry but I tell it how I see it or in this case hear it. Also you have to remember I was very hard on the new JWS album also; I believe I gave it a 5 at best.
