Using phrases such as "before you degrade the band" imply defensiveness. You could have simply given the information you did without using that phrase. Instead, you got on the defensive because a couple people mentioned they didn't like what they'd heard. If you're going to work as a promoter, you're going to have to come to grips with the fact that not everyone likes the band you are promoting, deal with it, suck it up, and move on.

Frankly, if I don't like a band's sound, I highly doubt a specific producer would suddenly make me want to listen to one of their albums.

Nope, you read in too much. I was implying that before you count that CD as finito, Family Force 5 is gonna write two songs and give 'em to Viktor, and Solomon Olds(lead singer) is gonna produce them. And that it would be a great surprise to listen to the sound of these songs. I was talking to Jimi last night and joked about having to hear him try to free style Kountry Gentleman in concert! lol

Before you degrade the band, here's a little leak about the CD.

This was your response after a few people said they weren't thrilled with the album. As I said, this implies defensiveness and thin skin. Brent was not wrong in his assertion.

Saying you do not like a band is NOT degrading a band, it is stating an opinion about your personal feelings on the music they have produced.

Um, I called no one names. Go back and read that thread and you will see that I reprimanded a poster for calling Shell and Sue names.

No one said you hated them for not liking the album, they told you to grow thicker skin for criticism.
