I know a couple well-known rock bands that did. Who here can name them?

A band that we all know the singer for also released their debut album in 1974....

Head East - Flat as a Pancake!

Yes, it was most widely released by A&M Records in 1975, but Head East released the same exact recordings (Song order and cover art being the only difference) first on their own label called Pyramid in 1974.. selling 5,500 copies and spawning the radio hit "Never Been Any Reason" before Flat as a Pancake was even picked up by a Record Company!! After Head East was picked up by A&M "Flat as a Pancake" went gold and later acheived Platinum selling status!!

Man, you guys are missing a lot of big names! Some other bands you may have heard about released their debut albums in 1974...

* Bad Company's self-titled debut
* Kansas' self-titled debut
* KISS' self-titled debut
* Rush's self-titled debut
* Judas Priest's ROCKA ROLLA

another "witch hunt" bro bro bro brother

Post by yamasaaaki har har » Sat May 31, 2008 7:36 pm

The two that I was thinking of were Rush and Kiss but wow I didn't know that Kansas and Bad Company did too.

One thing I do know is the song "Bad Company" on the album "Bad Company" by Bad Company.

One more crazy little trivia question: Which of these bands (other than Petra) made a song called "Witch Hunt?"
