My mother is deathly sick...
Yesterday, my dad came in from work and saw my mom lying on their bed, her lips blue. He called 911 and they rushed her to the hospital. She already had asthma, but she had caught pneaumonia and her kidneys were failing, and her blood pressure was 52/40.
Now her kidneys have activated and are recovering, but she is still knocked out and a ventilator is breathing for her. Her blood pressure is now 126/62. She is nowhere out of the woods yet, but the good news is she made it through the night. A funny story is that my little brother told my dad he prayed that last night and said, "God please let it snow, and if it does, please let it be a sign my mama was going to be ok." My dad said, "Look outside, son, it's snowing!" Please keep us in your prayers, because my mom and dad are lost.

Great news! The hepatitus c report came back negative. today she had the tracheal tube implanted in her neck. She started waking up as well. I'm at work right now, and can't wait to see her after work! She'll be sent to a rehab center tommorow, so we're almost through this! Thanks for all the prayers!

I hate to give bad news. When the nurses and doctors checked her this morning, her pneamonia had returned, worse than ever, and her blood count had increased, along with the fever. My dad immediately demanded she be moved to the larger hospital one county up from us. I really don't know what to do. Please pray for me and her.

Her surgery went well to remove liquid from her lungs and heart. Today, she went 7 HOURS WITHOUT BEING ON THE VENTILATOR!!! I was escatic. She is awake and able to respond. Still can't talk, what with the hole where the ventilator is and was when she takes it off. When she is fully capable of breathing on her own 24/7, they will repair that. Keep praying! Thanks alot!

Yesterday, I thought everything was going to be great. Then I got the news. My mom had had some EKG test done and it came back with horrible news.
She had been asleep for so long and without oxygen before reaching the hospital, that one side of her brain swelled, causing brain swellings and actual retardedness. She doesn't know who any of her family are or how to speak. I feel so confused right now.

Well, she has started speaking just barely again. She has that smile, just like nothing is wrong. Thank God for that. Worst case scenario she'll have to live in a nursing home for the rest of her life. She's only 47. Pray that she has enough strength to be moved to restorative care. Thanks so much for the prayers so far. They're tremendously felt.
