I believe everything Jonathon says.

In fact, that should be your campaign slogan, Jon. "I believe in Jonathan Gamble." So catchy and original.

The Invitation.

I've tried to listen to it over and over, but I get a headache over and over.

Oh yeah Sue?

Can't believe anything I say huh? Then you don't mind me saying this!!!

I've got something you can believe. I've seen Sue Dempster in a bathing suit while at a hotel!! Should I go on?

Jon, Beyond Belief was Beyond Crap!! Come on, what with all those guitar riffs, and solos, and vocals, and concept video shoot. That's not how a Christian should conduct themselves!!

And Sue, I believe the correct term is that we played J&H before Petra played in the U.S. Well that is only if you want to get technical....

I like this kind of rhythm and the keyboard-guitar solo.

I can't believe my first post here is going to be about the Petra song I DISLIKED the most.

TWENTY SOME YEARS of Petra fandom, and what's my first post got to be about!?!?!?

The song I DISliked the most!! ARRRGGGHH:x

... calm .... breathe ... deep breaths .... okay. Better now.

Yeah, my least favorite song was "Friends ... All In The Family Of God" from "The Rock Cries Out". Merely thinking of that song gives me a headache. What was Hartman thinking????? (No offense, Mr. Hartman ... if you're reading this. )

I was a youth pastor at the time, and we did alot of the songs from that CD as praise and worship. I banned "Friends" under threat of Excommunication. (No, I couldn't REALLY have excommunicated anyone ... but I they didn't know that!)

I very much liked Minefield, and Armed And Dangerous.

As for "Beyond Belief" and what "toward the Center of The Flow" refers to, see Ezekiel chapter 47:
Ezekiel 47:1 -12 from the NIV wrote: EZE 47:1 The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side.

EZE 47:3 As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4 He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in--a river that no one could cross. 6 He asked me, "Son of man, do you see this?"
Then he led me back to the bank of the river. 7 When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. 8 He said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Sea. When it empties into the Sea, the water there becomes fresh. 9 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. 10 Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds--like the fish of the Great Sea. 11 But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. 12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing."
In many interpretations, the fact that the river flows forth from God's Holy Temple is an indication that this represents His Spirit flowing forth from Heaven into the wolrd. You can see in the passage how this flow gives life, even when it enters into the brackish sea. Even the fruits of the trees nourished by this flow bring healing.

The passage from the song is referring to the idea of being fully immersed in the Flow of God's Spirit.

Make sense now?

(Get used to me doing that, BTW.)

Hey Knot,

Thank you for explaining that. I alwasy thought they were talking about Flo, from the old 80;s sitcom "Alice" Never made much sence though....

Welcome to the Zone knot. Since you are new here and I'm old enough to remember the glory days of this site, I will just say that you will have to get to know me and Jon. We are a couple of cards to say the least.

Beyond Belief is one of my favorite songs.

Hmm. I always interpreted "towards the center of the flow" as referring to being drawn into God's grace and power. You know, the more obvious interpretation.

Just kidding, knoto. Or am I? Yeah. I am.

Those were some funny posts I still laugh about.
