.........FRIDAY NITE LIVE. We are honored to be debuting BrokenWorks here on The Right Place. Here is a little info on them. During the the Jesus movement of the mid to late '70's the group Aslan was a contemporary of Mustard Seed Faith, Parable, Sweet Comfort, Good News, Gentle Faith, Daniel Amos, and all the other Maranatha! artists of that period. Having performed with such legendary talents as Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, and Keith Green, Aslan became a familiar name to many christian concert goers. In the midst of contract negotiations for Aslan's debut album in 1978 the band fell apart and, subsequently, their only remaining work is the recording of "Who Loves the Lonely" on the Maranatha! Six album. This year all of the original members of Aslan celebrated unfailing love, and salvation through Jesus Christ with their debut album "Blaze Away" introducing the new, and earned, band name... "BrokenWorks".
So please join us. Show kicks of at 7pm PST/10pm EST for great Christian Rock Music!!!!
As always we will be in the chatroom at www.stryperforum.com through out the show.

As a C.S. Lewis fan, I prefer the name "Aslan", but I can see how the band preferred a name that reflected what they had been through.
Strangely though, there was a secular band in Ireland that went by the name "Aslan".The url is:
