The topic of Life in the Music World
I will start of by saying; ones misconception of a musicians life is understandable. Not everyone is cut out to be in music, just like not everyone is cut out to work in the oilfields. But this explanation should shed some light on some dark spots and if it doesnt, Ill replace the light bulb.
Making your product available is no easy task, with all the studio time, manufacturing costs and lets not forget the tough time coming up with a title. You could really be in for a few surprises down the road if you dont get the right people for the job. I bet there is a band right now popping in a test CD and they end up hearing Rhoda and the maggot waggon gang.
Lets cut to the chase.
Chapter 3,000,459,689,999,0433,2567,8056,9803,4590,5679.4560,4505, and 89 cents
Selling your CD or Cassette or LP or 8-Track depending on what time zone you are in. But keep in mind they dont make wires anymore. And Reel to Reel is just to time consuming, unless you live in England. You have a number of options today to sell your product, except Wal-Mart. But be careful of the lurking places such as "E-BAY, bay, bay, bay, bay." (go with the reverb on that one). E-bay is both life and death to the artist. Signifying a new Artist cant find anywhere else to sell their product or showing the artist has made so many albums there isnt enough money in the world to keep them all in print. (Keep looking for my upcoming final release.)
We have so many options. From online stores to.uh...stores. Many of which will cost you money..We need a distributor, a label..someone for the people. I HAVE A DREAM, one day all singer/songwriters will be able to join hands with all of Gods real people and all will live in harmony or at least sing in it.
I have too much time on my hands people. There isnt enough space on the internet to contain my creative mind. Im as constant as the northern staryeah right, when Im offline Im sitting up in my bed making bllllrrrrrbbbbbb sounds, I like spit bubbles. Im really untalented; I only eat Skittles because of the colors..........oooh look.....Red.
But enough about me.........back to you sam.
