I'll have to get out one of my various instruments and see if I can figure that one out in a little bit. I have a song title riddle for you though:

Me sitting on the stone :)

(Just happens ot be the song I am listening to at the moment...)

we're getting deep into theory

That's what I was leaning toward. I supposed it had something to do with the word rock.

For mine: try playing both melodies on a piano. The catch, however, is that I didn't specify the rhythm. But if you're a Pethead, you'll probably recognize the tune anyway.

Here's the melodies again:

1 - C# (down) B (down) F# (up) G#, (up) C# (down) B (up) E (down) C#

2 - F# (up) A (up) B (up) C# (down) A (down) E (up) F#

("down" and "up" just simply mean the direction you go from the previous note to the next one.)

Easy one, you got it. Now it is your turn to post one. :)

As for the music one, I will have to wait to try it out, need to go to bed now, have a long drive to see some guys named Hough, DeGroff, and Glover in Michigan tomorrow...

I can't figure that music one out...hmmm.

Here's one.

In between the mountains I stay,
Try to guess what song today,
Never have much time to lay,
I must stand and keep bad things away,

beat it down like biscuit dough

Post by seichu kaisho » Sun Aug 29, 2004 12:44 pm

Okay, it was "Beat the System."

C# wise B uh- F# -uh- G# -up

C# rise B uh- E -uh- C# -up

The other melody has no words to it but it is heard many times in the song. You hear it right before the first verse, and right between the first chorus and second verse. If you're confused, ask Bob Hartman.

Okay, next one:
a sugary living place in the state between Mississippi and Georgia

Any takers? This one's easy.

Seichu, yours has got to be "Sweet Home Alabama".

I have no clue on the other one. Hint please?

I don't listen to much besides Petra and a few other Christian bands lately LOL so if it isn't them, I probably won't get it!

The hearing-impaired wildcat would be Def Leppard, and I give up on the other one, please share the answer...

Here is another Petra song title one from me:
